A big part of adjusting to living in a new culture is simply observing the local people and customs. You can't expect to just jump right in and be a part of the community without first understanding it. So this morning I took some time to watch an independence day celebration in downtown Puerto Viejo. It's really a celebration for all of Central America of their independence from Spain. Check out my video below!
